About This Piece
"The Arrival "
From collection Red Constant
The red circle appeared one day without warning or apology. It simply was—complete and unyielding. The black line, which had grown accustomed to having its way with the space, found itself bending in recognition, not because it wanted to, but because to do otherwise would be to deny reality itself. Around them, fine marks radiated outward like ripples in a pond, the aftereffects of their silent confrontation spreading far beyond the initial point of contact.
The red circle doesn't argue. It doesn't explain itself. It simply exists, and in existing, changes everything around it. The black line carries a certain elegance in its reluctant adaptation, like someone who has just realized they've been wrong about something fundamental but is determined to adjust with dignity intact.
This piece belongs in a room where certainties are frequently challenged. Place it where the light will catch it differently throughout the day, allowing the power balance to shift subtly with the hours.
